About Me
Hi there! I’m Francesca Story, a Peruvian-American herbalist, writer, and student of Clinical Herbalism and Equine Therapy, living on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.
I live and work closely with the land, surrounded by plants and a herd of horses. My path has taken me from environmental work and international summits to a more grounded way of living, one shaped by a daily relationship with nature.
Today, my work brings together herbalism, writing, and a deep respect for the intelligence of the natural world as a guide for how we live and heal.

My work is rooted in plants, but it extends into how we live, create, and connect.
I am currently continuing my training in Clinical Herbalism and Equine Therapy, bringing together ancestral practices, clinical understanding, and the role of the nervous system in healing. Alongside this, I create small-batch apothecary offerings made with herbs from across Latin America, designed to be integrated into daily life.
In early 2026, I founded Cosmos Ancestral Drinks, an alcohol-free herbal seltzer line crafted with adaptogens, nootropics, and nervines. What began in my apothecary kitchen in the mountains of Peru has grown into a way of sharing plant medicine in a more accessible, everyday form, while supporting indigenous communities and preserving ancestral knowledge.
My work also lives through writing, a space where I explore plants, place, and the inner landscape they open.
Workshops & Retreats
My workshops and retreats are spaces to step out of the everyday and into a deeper relationship with nature.
From herbal first aid and medicine making to seasonal rituals and immersive retreats, each offering is designed to be lived and experienced. I have hosted workshops in Manuel Antonio and Monteverde, Costa Rica, and continue to expand into more place-based work.
In the mountains of Santa Eulalia, Peru, my apothecary cabin and medicinal garden will host a plant pilgrimage, a more intimate experience rooted in ancestral herbalism. In Costa Rica, I offer Healing with Horses retreats, bringing together equine therapy, herbal practices, and grounded approaches to well-being.
